As a parent of a child with additional needs it is so reassuring that there is an organisation such as Safe Places. I think it will prove invaluable for vulnerable people, giving them confidence whilst out, safe in the knowledge that should something happen, they can find the nearest Safe Place and be put into contact with someone who can assist them.

The Safe Places scheme plays a significant role to help vulnerable people feel safe and supported. Humberside Police have spent a great deal of time working with local councils and various businesses to fully understand what makes people feel safe. It is not just the responsibility of one organisation, it is that of many and we can achieve so much more by working together. Safe Places gives vulnerable people the confidence to approach someone who will look after them.

Safe Places will become an integral part of any Autistic person's life knowing that support is located in the close proximity.

All vulnerable people in our community deserve to be safe and to feel safe. Having the opportunity to live independent lives is a significant part of this. The Safe Places schemes operate throughout Yorkshire and the UK helps this happen and I fully support this excellent initiative.

As a senior tutor, teaching and supporting students with a diagnosis of Autism and challenging behavior I was really interested to view the materials being made available on the Safe Places web site.

I am currently delivering ASDAN accreditation module, 'Personal safety' to a small group of visual learners and it was a real challenge locating appropriate, visual resources which would productively assist my teaching and students learning. That was until I was asked to review this material.  In my opinion it is clear, concise, well structured and visual therefore highly beneficial.

To have access to these free-to-use resources would be really valuable for our college and I'm positive other specialist education settings in Doncaster and beyond, who view the web site and see the functional values and suitability of the materials would share a similar positive, encouraging view.
